APA Budget and Planning Committee to Convene in Doha

The Shura Council of the State of Qatar, will host the meeting of the Standing Committee on Budget and Planning on 23–24 December 2025.

This two-day event to be held in Doha, will bring together lawmakers from member parliaments to discuss and make exchange of views on the Assembly’s budgetary requirements, review financial reports, and evaluate recent developments related to the APA’s fiscal planning and resource management.

As one of the APA’s four principal committees, the Budget and Planning Committee plays a central role in shaping the Assembly’s budget for operational and strategic priorities.

Qatar’s hosting of the meeting reflects its long-standing commitment to multilateral parliamentary cooperation with active engagement within the APA. In its capacity as the APA Vice-President, and Chair of the Meeting, the Shura Council has consistently contributed to strengthening parliamentary frameworks and promoting collaborative mechanisms across Asia.

The upcoming event in Doha underscores the APA’s dedication to advancing joint parliamentary efforts and enhancing cooperation among member states to support shared objectives in development, planning, and regional integration.
